Mission

At the University of Augsburg, knowledge transfer is about the lively exchange of scientific knowledge between university and non-university stakeholders at regional, national, and international levels. The knowledge generated at the university is applied to answering societal questions in politics, economics, and industry, as well as to climate change and the protection of the environment. Similarly, knowledge gained in other areas of society feeds back into the university providing new impetus and insights for further research. Knowledge transfer is therefore reciprocal; it is transferred from the university to external stakeholders and networks and from external networks to the university.
